Streets of Rage 2 is the sequel to the popular Streets of Rage series of games, and is one of the most critically acclaimed games of the 1990s. It was the first game in the series to be released on the Internet, and was followed by a number of other SEGA online games.

Gameplay

The gameplay is based on the side-scrolling technique. The player controls a character, who can move left and right, and up and down. The player must attack the enemies, which appear on the left and right sides of the screen, and destroy them to progress through the level.

Story

The game begins with the character, who is in prison, being kidnapped by Mr. X, the boss of the criminal underworld. The character is then sent to the home of Mr. X's gang, where he meets the other prisoners and is given a job to do. He is then sent to the front of the prison to fight the police. The game continues as the player progresses through the levels, defeating the bosses of the underworld and sending them to prison.
